With the release of his first album “Bring You Back,” opening Taylor Swift’s Red tour and a recent No. 1 country airplay hit in “Don’t Ya,” Brett Eldredge has made a strong debut in the country music world, earning him a nomination for ACMs New Artist of the Year.
While Eldredge is just starting to make his mark in Nashville, he already has an undoubtedly strong presence on Twitter, where he welcomes followers to “Step into the weirdness.” Eldredge is one of country music’s more active artists in social media, regularly interacting with fans and openly sharing thoughts, photos and feelings from his personal voice.
He credits ACMs co-host and fellow Twitter “weirdo” Blake Shelton for inspiring him to be himself.
“He especially stepped out on Twitter and did that, and when he was completely honest with his fans and with people on Twitter and just was Blake, people accept you,” he said. “Just like a songwriter. It’s like, if you’re gonna be open about telling the story of what really happened and how that girl broke your heart or whatever, but it’s true and you’re not afraid to say it, then people are gonna wanna listen,” Eldredge says.

Eldredge will bring a heavy dose of his standout personality to the ACMs stage when he performs live at this year’s ACM Fan Jam, alongside event headliners Florida Georgia Line and fellow New Artist of the Year nominees Kip Moore and Justin Moore. And in case that’s not exciting enough, the NAOTY winner will be announced live on the Fan Jam stage following the performances. You can cast your vote for your favorite New Artist at www.VoteACM.com until April 6.
