COUNTRY ACTS MAKE FORBES LIST
Two ACM Award winners have made the list for Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” list. Maddie & Tae and reigning ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year Kelsea Ballerini were among the top 30 rising stars under the age of 30 across 20 different industries.
Ballerini, 23, is up for the all-genre Best New Artist award at this year’s Grammys, among the likes of Chance the Rapper and The Chainsmokers along with fellow country act Maren Morris. Her first singles—“Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs,” and “Peter Pan”—have topped country charts, making her the first female country artist hit to No.1 with three consecutive singles from a debut album
Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye, both 21, stepped into the spotlight in 2014 with their stereotype-breaking single “Girl in a Country Song.” They were the first signees to Dot Records, a joint venture between Big Machine and Universal Music Group. Start Here—the duo’s debut album—peaked at No.2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in 2015.
Other notable acts on the list with Ballerini, Marlow, and Dye include Alessia Cara, Twenty One Pilots, Jeremiah, and Charlie Puth. Check out the complete Forbes list here.
