Sam Hunt Brings Summer Early

It may be a cold and dreary winter, but summer is coming in hot with Sam Hunt’s new single, “Body Like a Back Road.” The pure summer tune will make you want to sing along as you drive down a back road with your windows down. The laid-back and breezy track is a little different than what Sam normally does, but its splash of old-school R&B mixed with a warm rhythm guitar will have you wishing for those warmer days.

The three-time ACM Award nominee wrote the song alongside renowned songwriters Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne and Zach Crowell, who put together the catchy lyrics, “Driving with my eyes closed/I know every curve like the back of my hand/Doing 15 in a 30/I ain’t in no hurry/I’ma take it slow just as fast as I can”.

The “15 in a 30” line also appears to have been the inspiration behind the name of Sam’s first-ever headlining Summer tour. The 15 In A 30 Tour will feature Maren Morris, Chris Janson and Ryan Follese and will make its way through 29 cities from June 1st to September 23rd. "Body Like a Back Road" is listed as the first single from Sam’s highly anticipated sophomore album. However, Sam has yet to reveal any further details about the album. The single also follows Sam’s most recent song “Drinkin’ Too Much” in which he opened up about his on-again-off-again relationship with his now-fiance,  Hannah Lee Fowler.
